Catahoula Farms Honey is locally-owned by Michael & Carol Wickwire in Lorida, Florida, just outside of the Sebring town limit. We named our honey after our two crazy Catahoula dogs, Gru and Lucy, who keep us young and active.
Our professional bee-keepers have been collecting Orange Blossom Honey here in the Heartland of Florida since the 1970's. They target orange blossoms on our farm for three months during the orange blossom bloom. The farm borders thousands of acres of citrus groves. At the end of the bloom, the bees are relocated up north to pollinate other fruit blossoms. In early winter, they are brought back to Florida and repeat the process.
Orange Blossom Honey is pure, raw and unfiltered and is on the lighter and sweeter side, with a subtle fruity undertone that reveals its citrus origins and adds a little something extra.
Orange Blossom Honey is packed with enzymes, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals that can help boost your health and can help reduce inflammation, improve digestion, and reduce the risk of certain diseases. It is rich in vitamins A, B, and C, and minerals like calcium, potassium and magnesium. These nutrients can help support a healthy immune system and provide energy to the body.
